You twist words like candy cane sticks,
It can be so sweet it makes me sick.
You are happy in your fever,
You are your own believer.
You laugh like the air is thick with smiles,
I catch it far away over the miles.
The careless glance thrown my way,
Does little to make these things go away.
Why are you tossing these things off?
This is serious whether you want it to be or not.
Don’t shrug it off and shake your head.
I know you don’t believe all the words you said.
You grin when you’re sad,
Laugh when you’re mad and
You cry when you’re glad.
What’s with you and your games?
Stop making jokes and playing games.
Your life is going to shatter and go up in flames.
Don’t sidestep when you could stay.
This is not one of your stupid, made up ways
To make this just pass with the day.
Wipe off that smile and look me in the eye.
Throw away your empty lies.
Put serious into your gaze,
This is not your written and acted-out play.

I'm going to go read a book, I got bitten by the book bug again 
it's been awhile but I started reading the "Dragons in our Midst" [link] series again and I am obsessed.
.... and no, that had nothing to do with this poem.
This poem is an empty poem, at least it is for me. The first line popped in my head and the rest followed so it is not really based on anything or anyone, it does ring in my mind when I think of some people I know who tend not to take life seriously, and sometimes that is okay, but when they think that everything is there for them it makes me frustrated.
Seriously, guys, wake up!
This is the LAST poem I will post for a long while, I am going to spend the next month and a half editing my book. I WILL draw though, always will, even when I'm old and grey.
